Marley is the inspiration behind the charity organization. As the great grandson of Cass Ole, the equine actor from The Black Stallion (1970s feature film), he is the catalyst for K-12 grade level creative writing and art projects, as well as a kind and generous equine partner. Marley is Bruce Anderson's faithful sidekick in working with horses that come to Bruce for training, but he also works with people in the round pen during Equine Assisted Learning sessions for individuals and groups, providing a warm and friendly greeting to the work.
Mac was our first rescue horse, coming from a local herd dispersal situation in 2019. Due to his "cute" factor, Mac was allowed to develop a moderately pushy nature in his youth with regard to treats. His rehabilitation has progressed on the ground, as well as through riding and driving, and Mac is a valuable member of the Learning Team.

Due to his "cute" factor, Mac was allowed to develop a moderately pushy nature in his youth with regard to treats. His rehabilitation has progressed on the ground, as well as through riding and driving, and Mac is a valuable member of the Learning Team. He has a quirky personality and tends to draw in the younger participants because of his size. While he is not aggressive at all, he does enjoy being "in your lap," so he is especially helpful when discussing boundaries. UPDATE: Mac has been blessed to find a new forever home. While it was hard to see him go, he is living his BEST LIFE with a family!

Willie is a valued member of the team after coming from a sale barn/kill pen rescue situation in Texas. He was initially untouchable, but has made great strides toward acclimating into People's World since his arrival in November 2022. He has already become a member of the Learning Team and as a formerly feral horse, his transformation into the AlphA Mindset has helped him to be more naturally compliant than many domestic horses. Since he hasn't been handled as much as the other horses in the herd, his feedback is often more pure and his reactions are more "in the moment."
By far the largest member of the team, Winston is a Shire/Dutch Warmblood cross and Julianne's riding partner. He is typically the first horse to engage with visitors.
Coming from the Arapaho Creek HMA in Wyoming, Congaree ("REE") is an adopted Mustang. He has been the inspiration for our Wellness Through Mustangs™ Program.
