Learn more about our Human and Equine Collaborative Team. We are equine service providers, educators, life-coaches and artists in residence who incorporate horses, wellness and transformation in our sessions through the story process, whether in a round pen, an arena, an office, or online. NOTE: Our Collaborative Team consists of equine professionals, certified education specialists, experienced coaches, consultants and other industry leaders. We also have access to a network of mental health counselors and professionals for any client or situation with deeper challenges or mental health implications and would require consultation in that circumstance.
The Marley Project, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a Service Organization and received our IRS 501(c)(3) designation in 2015.
In 2003, we organized the Kershaw County Patriotic Rally to benefit local family members of deployed military with all proceeds distributed through the Kershaw County United Way. We have partnered annually with the Kershaw County Humane Society through the Food Truck Fest with all proceeds to benefit the Thiel Meyer Adoption Center. We typically host several Marley's Literary Fest events throughout the year.
We began hosting the EQUUS Film and Arts Fest Camden Tour Stop in 2016 as an annual fundraising event to bring awareness about equine issues to the local community.
Our mission is to provide Equine Assisted Services through Equine Assisted Learning and Equine Based Horsemanship. Our services include Equine Assisted Learning though Coaching and Education, Equine Rescue, and Equine Based Public Service projects. Our foundation provides and supports programs for Mental Health and Wellness, Equine Experiences through Arts and Literacy Integration and collaborations with local charity organizations. Funding donations support work with the rescue horses that we use in our programs, supplies and materials provided for our events, and sessions provided at no cost to the participant based on need. Our goal is to show that horses are more important now for human wellness, if not survival, than ever before.
